Healing mass in St. Roch chapel is the first Friday of each month at 10:00 am. Visitation to follow from 11:00 am to Noon

Landscaping is complete in the new St. Michael the Archangel cremation garden in St. Louis #3. The garden is dedicated to Veterans and First Responders and their families. During 2018, the St. Roch Chapel underwent major interior restoration to remove layers of metal sheeting and portland cement. After several days of allowing the bricks to dry out, lime mortar was applied to the entire interior walls. Upon completion of this work, we discovered in December 2018, there are major structural issues in the attic. We are currently having a design plan drawn and working towards having the attic construction performed. Until further notice, the chapel is closed to the public. We will have the chapel open on Good Friday for viewing. Donations are being accepted. For a minimum $200.00 donation, your name or loved one's name will be memorialized on the re-dedication plaque. On January 22, 2018, Archbishop Aymond dedicated the Holy Innocents Prayer Garden in memory of all unborn babies. Located in St. Patrick #1, families can order a plaque in memory of their unborn baby. Please call 504-596-3050 for more information.

For anyone who has lost a loved one, the holiday season can be especially bittersweet. Here, we share 5 tips on coping with loss during the holiday season.

Beginning Friday, December 1st, all are invited to decorate our In Memory Christmas Tree in St. Patrick Cemetery No. 3. This tree serves as a way to honor lost loved ones. Complimentary ornaments will be given to the families of those in our New Orleans Catholic Cemeteries.

St. Michael Special School designed and created two large mosaic pieces that were installed in Resurrection Mausoleum in St. Louis #3.

All Saints Day, a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics around the world is observed annually on November 1. As is tradition in New Orleans, all Catholic Cemeteries will host special blessings of the graves on All Saints Day to encourage prayer and remembrance for the deceased. Special Masses will be celebrated at all Catholic Churches in the Archdiocese of New Orleans and several cemeteries will host Mass to observe the Holy Day.

UPDATE OCT. 13, 2017 - New floors will be installed approx. October 17th. Beginning Sept. 11, 2017, work will begin on the first floor of Resurrection Mausoleum in St. Louis Cemetery #3. Construction is complete. The new St. Joseph Statue will be installed soon.

Due to the streetcar track work, the intersection of City Park Ave and Canal Blvd will be closed from July 31 thru Nov. 30. Detours will be in place. Vehicles can enter St. Patrick #3 from City Park Ave if traveling West bound on City Park.
